This cottage has a large living/dining room on the front with two sliding glass doors opening onto a large deck facing the ocean. The kitchen is equipped with all new appliances: electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and clothes dryer.
There are 3 bedrooms, sleeping five people. One bedroom has a lavatory. The bathroom has a tub with a shower. There is Rinnai heater in the living room for cool evenings.
Neighboring cottages are at ample distance. Evergreen trees stand nearby on either side and behind the cottage; a lawn in front. The shore, just cross the dead end road, is rocky, but has a beach area suitable for swimming and /or launching boats.
How to Get There
Take Rte 220 South from Rte 1 and Waldoboro for approximately 10 miles, turn right onto the Martin Point Road and traveling 2 miles. The cottage sets back from the road on a knoll on the right.
Friendship is a small, quiet Maine village bout 2 miles away, with a general market, library, B&B accommodations, kayak and canoe rental, volunteer fire and rescue department, and a community center. Friendship Harbor is a working fishing harbor. Lobster, clams and crabmeat are available at several places. Larger food and retail stores may be found in Waldoboro, Thomaston or Rockland.
The serenity and peaceful atmosphere of this beautiful place in Maine provides a relaxing vacation spot.
